A former medical assistant at a North Texas pediatric clinic was arrested earlier this month and is facing charges of indecency with a child, according to Irving police.

Investigators said Angel Nunez, 25, who was employed at the clinic as a medical assistant, had inappropriate contact with multiple patients who believed they were receiving a medical exam and were unaware they were being abused.

Irving police said between August 2023 and August 2024, Nunez worked at multiple Little Spurs locations, including Irving, Grand Prairie, Arlington and Fort Worth.

Police are also seeking if Nunez had more victims and in the release encouraged parents who recognize him or who visited Little Spurs since August 2023 to discuss the situation with their children.

Anyone who is a victim or knows of a victim is also encouraged to contact the Irving police department at 972-273-1010 or detective Andy Padrutt at 972-721-6565 or by email at [email protected].

According to the release, Little Spurs has been cooperative with the investigation.

A spokesperson for Little Spurs said in an emailed statement that the clinic learned an employee had conducted a "medical procedure beyond their scope of practice and outside of our established guidelines." After becoming aware, the clinic fired the employee, launched an internal investigation and contacted Child Protective Services.
