Motorcyclist dies in Dubuque crash

A motorcyclist died after hitting a curb and crashing in Dubuque on Saturday afternoon, KCRG reports.Dubuque police said it happened in the 400 block of Maplewood Court just after 1:30 p.m.The driver, later identified as 59-year-old Terrance Thompson, of Dubuque, lost control of the vehicle and hit the curb, landing on the grass.Thompson was taken to the hospital, where he later died. According to the latest data from the Iowa Department of Transportation, 250 people have died so far this year on Iowa roads. That number is 26 fewer than at the same point in 2023.
