Cowboys injury report: Overshown's surgery completed, Lawrence 'pushing rehab process'

FRISCO - The Cowboys had two starters from the offensive line who didn't participate in Wednesday's walkthrough practice.

Coach Mike McCarthy said guard T.J. Bass (thigh) and left tackle Chuma Edoga (ankle) have a chance to play in Sunday night's game against the Buccaneers.

Starting defensive tackle Mazi Smith (back), linebacker Eric Kendricks (personal) and linebacker Nick Vigil also didn't practice.

McCarthy did note defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence (foot) is continuing to rehab and it remains uncertain when he'll return.

"I saw him on the water treadmill," McCarthy said. "I know he's going through the metabolics with the training staff. He's still pushing the rehab process."

Also, linebacker DeMarvion Overshown underwent surgery to repair three ligament tears in his knee on Wednesday.

McCarthy said the surgery went well.

"We're looking forward to him getting back to the rehab trail," McCarthy said. "If anybody can do a great job, he will. I thought he did a fantastic job getting ready for this year. He'll attack it and just like anything that's why you don't make diagnoses 48 hours after the injury, he'll do well after the surgery I'm confident."

McCarthy didn't know when cornerback Trevon Diggs will have surgery on his knee.
