Longmont plans to launch its new city website in mid-August that it says will be more user-friendly and easier to utilize on mobile devices.

The new site will utilize the same web address it has been using: longmontcolorado.gov.

The city's current website has not had a major redesign in over a decade, according to a city announcement.

Expected to launch the week of Aug. 19, the forthcoming site should be easier to navigate and include more information in Spanish.

Utility customers with online payment set up need to create a new account and re-register their information after the new website goes live. Customers will be notified by email when the new payment portal is active so that they can re-enter their information at the correct time.
