Like the Thunder after the Paul George trade, the Nets are set up for a quick rebuild

Like the Oklahoma City Thunder following the Paul George trade, the Brooklyn Nets are set up for a quick rebuild. Building on the lesson of when the Thunder dealt Paul George to the Los Angeles Clippers to jump-start a quick retooling of their roster in what would end up being a lightening-fast rebuild of Oklahoma City's roster, the Nets hope to follow a similar path to get back to contention in a hurry.

Unlike the Thunder, they have less of a war chest of intriguing draft assets to do it with, but the league's new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) may be the advantage that Brooklyn needs to make it work, given many a ball club will be motivated to shed quality talent in light of the new rules regarding the tax and so-called 'second apron' teams.

The hosts of the "Locked on Nets" podcast, Adam Armbrecht and Doug Norrie, took a closer look at the parallels and the differences between the two rebuilds on a recent episode of their show. Check it out below!
