PICKENS, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Officials in Pickens County are preparing to break ground on a new 23,200-square-foot public safety building.
The new complex, which will include a 911 dispatch center and EMS training rooms, will be constructed behind the county administration building on McDaniel Avenue.
Construction will cost about $12 million, which will come from the American Rescue Act Plan and the county's general fund.
Officials hope to have the building up and running by the end of 2025.
