A 30-year-old Ellensburg man was arrested just before 11 p.m. Wednesday for assaulting a police officer after he was found banging on a window at the county courthouse and trying to get inside.

Michael Riley Johnson was also booked into jail on allegations of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
