ATLANTA -- Deamonte Kendrick and Shannon Jackson (Stillwell), the two YSL defendants found predominately not guilty this month in the long-running RICO case, are both due back in court Tuesday morning for court proceedings related to charges for alleged incidents that occurred while they were in jail during the RICO trial.
A jury on Dec. 3 found Kendrick not guilty on all the charges against him, while Jackson -- who was charged under the Stillwell surname in the YSL case -- was found not guilty of all but one charge, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Stillwell was sentenced on his one guilty count to two years in jail but with credit for time served -- he had already been incarcerated for two years during the YSL trial. With Kendrick acquitted, that would have effectively cleared any further pending time in jail for both men, though both now face separate court cases on the jail allegations.
Jackson was indicted in June 2023 and alleged to have been in possession of prohibited items, among them methamphetamine, cigarettes, an iPhone, Apple Airpods and a "knife/shank" while incarcerated in the Fulton County Jail. That indictment further alleged an intent to distribute the methamphetamine as well as charged him with participation in criminal street gang activity for possessing the prohibited items.
Kendrick, meanwhile, was indicted this year alongside six others for allegedly assaulting a man in June in the Fulton County Jail. His charges in that alleged incident include aggravated battery, aggravated assault and riot in a penal institution.
Jackson has a final plea hearing scheduled for 9:30 a.m. with Judge Belinda E. Edwards on Tuesday, while Kendrick has a bond hearing with Judge Robert McBurney at 9:00 a.m.
Both Jackson and Kendrick were themselves stabbed at the Fulton County Jail during the YSL trial, and Jackson has joined a class action lawsuit against Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat over jail conditions.
