The UCONN Huskies football team kicked off their six game homestand with a monster offensive performance against Florida Atlantic.

At one point it felt like the Huskies were trying to break the scoreboard, leaving no doubt in their 48-14 blowout win over the Owls.

After a slow first quarter for both offenses, the Huskies got going in the second.

At the 11:32 mark, Quarterback Nick Evers threw a touchdown pass to Mel Brown to put UCONN up 10-0.

A rushing touchdown by Durell Robinson gave the Huskies a three-score lead going into halftime.

UCONN piled it on in the second half, scoring three more touchdowns.

When it was all said and done, the winning recipe for the Huskies was clear: dominate in the trenches and run the ball at will.

UCONN finished the game with an unprecedented 421 rushing yards, with Durell Robinson and Mel Brown both eclipsing the 100 yard mark.

Having the opportunity to play six games in a row at home in college football is rare, and the Huskies look like they're prepared to make the most of it.

UCONN will be back in action on their home field next Saturday to continue their homestand against the University of Buffalo.
