Jennifer Aniston is giving fans a much-needed update on how her skin's doing after her salmon sperm facial.
While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Oct. 3, the Friends star, 55, got into debunking or confirming rumors, which led her to talk about the viral skincare treatment she had done.
"Let me explain to you, it's not like, how do you get sperm out of a salmon," she said, noting that, at the time, the whole process was "unclear" to her. She just took the facialist's "word" and was, "like, 'sure.'"
The Morning Show actress added that the facial involved microneedling her skin with the salmon sperm (which can be injected with hyaluronic acid according to Dr. Gabriel Chiu who spoke with Variety this month about the trend).
"But don't I look like a salmon? Don't I have beautiful salmon skin?" Aniston joked.
In an interview with WSJ. Magazine's last August, the Emmy winner admitted that she hadn't seen much results from the facial, but believed it to be "the future" of anti-aging skincare.
She's right about that. The fish's reproductive cells have been shown "to improve skin, hydration, plumpness, texture, and wrinkles," New York City-based dermatologist Joshua Zeichner, MD, previously told PopSugar.
"The effects on the skin are thought to be due to high DNA levels. DNA is composed of amino acids, which have long been used in skin care for their hydrating and cell-renewing benefits," Dr. Zeichner added.

Though salmon sperm comes with a list of pros and cons (aesthetician Nerida Joy also told PopSugar that the facial can be too overbearing for someone with acne-prone skin) and not a lot of data to back it up (it's not yet approved by the FDA), the buzzy ingredient has still piqued the interest of celebrities. Kim Kardashian revealed in a July 11 episode of The Kardashians that she'd also gotten the sperm "injected" into her face.
Aniston is clearly down to experiment with her beauty routine, but to an extent. During her segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Aniston was also asked about a rumor involving her installing a "$4,000 anti-aging water filter" in her home for her dogs. And when asked if she ever would get one? "Absolutely no" was her response.
