Repeat violent offender receives 20+ years in prison

The Greene County Prosecutor's Office announced the sentencing of 58-year-old Roger Creamer Jr. He will spend 20 to 24 years in prison.

A jury convicted Creamer of several charges last month, including felonious assault, for an incident that took place in Xenia in April 2024.

Authorities say Creamer illegally got a gun and then threatened to kill two men at a home in Xenia. When one of the men tried to take the gun away from him, Creamer fired a shot, but missed.

Creamer took off, but police arrested him a short time later.

Creamer has served two previous prison sentences, leading the judge to impose the maximum sentence for all offenses, plus nine additional years for firearm specifications and three additional years for repeat violent offender specifications.
