3A-1 CONFERENCE
One day after the 3A-1 Conference announced the rest of its postseason tournament was canceled, the league's school superintendents have announced there will be four play-in games to be held Monday at the Elkins High School arena.
The four games, which were originally scheduled to be played Thursday, will determine which teams will earn the right to play in the Class 3A Region 1 Tournament, which begins Wednesday at Elkins.
The two girls games are Greenland vs. Thaden School at 4 p.m. and West Fork vs. Providence Academy at 7 p.m., while the boys games feature Providence Academy vs. Haas Hall-Bentonville at 5:30 p.m. and West Fork vs. Greenland at 8:30 p.m.
They will be joined at the regional tournament by both teams from Elkins and Lincoln, which finished the regular season as champions and runner-ups and received berths to the regional tournament.

Girls
BERGMAN 61, MELBOURNE 50
Bergman outscored Melbourne 25-13 in the fourth quarter and moved into the championship game with a victory over the host team.
Makyna See had 13 points to lead four players in double figures for the Lady Panthers (26-9), who led 13-10 after one quarter and 30-29 at halftime before Melbourne went on to take a 38-36 lead into the fourth quarter. Seven different Bergman players contributed to the fourth-quarter scoring.
Paige Smith added 11 points for the Lady Panthers while Jacey Halitzka and Brinley Collins chipped in 10 points apiece.

BOYS
BOONEVILLE 45, LAVACA 42
Noah Harrel hit a go-ahead three-pointer with under a minute remaining as Booneville slipped past third-seeded Lavaca and earned a regional tournament berth.
The win moves the No. 6 seed Bearcats (10-16) into Saturday's semifinal game against No. 2 seed Subiaco Academy and qualifies them for the Class 3A Region 1 Tournament, which begins Wednesday at Elkins.
Harrel's three-pointer gave Booneville a 44-42 lead, then the Bearcats added a free throw in the closing seconds to end the scoring. Booneville won all three of its meetings over Lavaca (17-11) by a combined total of six points this season.
Harrel finished with 19 points and was the only Booneville player in double figures. Austin Eiland finished with 12 points for Lavaca.
CHARLESTON 60, COSSATOT RIVER 46
Charleston outscored Cossatot River 28-11 in the fourth quarter and claimed a come-from-behind victory in the final quarterfinal game.
The No. 5 seed Tigers (7-15), who won their second game in as many games, advanced to Saturday's 12:20 p.m. semifinal game against top-seeded Lamar.
Charleston had led 28-18 at halftime, but Cossatot River started the second half with an 11-0 run and eventually took a 32-29 into the fourth quarter. Charleston then started off the final 8 minutes with 13 unanswered points to take control.
Maddix Terry led the Tigers with 33 points while Colten Tucker added 15. Dillon Loving had 15 points for Cossatot River (19-12).
GIRLS
CHARLESTON 54, CEDARVILLE 44
Livi McClain had 19 points to lead Charleston to a victory over Cedarville during the late quarterfinal game. C 16-9, 23-19, 39-30.
The win moves the fourth-seeded Lady Tigers (14-11) into an 11 a.m. semifinal game against top seed Lamar and gives Charleston a berth in the Class 3A Region 1 Tournament at Elkins.
The Lady Tigers had an early 16-9 lead cut to a 23-19 margin at halftime, but they built it back up to a 39-30 margin to end the third quarter.
Ella Dodson added 15 points for Charleston. Emily McCutcheon led Cedarville (13-14) with 24 points.
PARIS 53, BOONEVILLE 31
Paris outscored Booneville 15-5 in the second quarter and pulled away for a quarterfinal victory.
The run allowed the third-seeded Lady Eagles (15-11) to extend an early six-point lead to a 28-12 halftime cushion. Paris then had a 43-26 advantage after three quarters.
Annabelle Perry had 24 points and Preslee Bowman 10 for Paris, which advances to Saturday's 1:40 p.m. semifinal game against second seed Mansfield and gives the Lady Eagles a berth into the Class 3A Region 1 Tournament at Elkins. Tempi Terry had 12 points for Booneville (12-16), followed by Baylee Parnell with 10.

BOONEVILLE 49, PARIS 36
Jace Washburn scored 10 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter to cement a second-round win for the Bearcats in the 3A-4 Conference Tournament on Thursday.
Aiden Carter added 14 points and Dakota Mattson 9 for the host Bearcats
Brady Owen led Paris (7-21) with 9 points.
Booneville (9-16) turned an early 7-0 lead into an 11-9 cushion after the first quarter, 20-16 lead at the half and 27-25 lead after three quarters before the Bearcats put the game away with 22 points in the final frame.
CHARLESTON 54, MANSFIELD 39
Maddix Terry scored 25 points to pace the Tigers to the second round in the 3A-4 Conference Tournament on Thursday.
Carter Little added 15 points.
Winston Allison led Mansfield (5-19) with 17 points.
Charleston (7-15) led 15-10 after a quarter and 28-21 at the half before Mansfield tied the game at 32-32 with 3:23 left in the third quarter. The Tigers went on an 11-0 run to end the third quarter for a 43-32 lead and went on to the win.
