Newton, Wis. (WBAY) -Over 30 fire and EMS teams helped fight a fire in Newton Friday night.
Cleveland fire officials say they were called to B&B Metals on Pioneer Road just before 5:30 p.m. for a fire and the first crews on scene saw a large pile of scrap with smoke and flames coming from it.
Due to a previous incident at the facility, crews on scene upgraded the fire to the third alarm level for additional help. The fire was eventually upgraded to the fifth alarm level as it continued to spread in the pile.
Officials say the fire was under control in around 90 minutes and B&B staff used a crane to pull the pile of scrap apart so the fire could be extinguished. Crews were at the scene for nearly four hours.
It isn't known if anyone is hurt.
Cleveland fire officials say they want to thank all the responding agencies as well as The Smiling Moose for providing food for the crews on scene.
