Sutton Foster has filed for divorce from her husband, Ted Griffin, according to court documents obtained by the New York Post. Foster and the Ocean's Eleven screenwriter were married for nearly ten years and share a 7-year-old adoptive daughter.
The news comes as rumors continue to swirl around the Broadway actress and her former The Music Man co-star, Hugh Jackman. The two spent more than a year in the show's starring roles together from 2021 to 2023. The same year the show closed, Jackman filed for divorce from his wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness. At the time, the former couple released a joint statement, saying, "We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."
Following the news that Sutton was getting divorced, "Page Six" reported that sources recently told it Jackson and Foster's rumored romantic involvement was "common knowledge" in Broadway circles. "They are 100 percent together and are in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together," a source previously told the outlet, adding that both parties are hoping to keep their purported entanglement out of the public eye.
Neither Foster nor Griffin has released a statement regarding the filing. We've reached out to Foster's reps and will update this piece if we hear back.
