Saif Ali Khan Calls Kareena Kapoor 'Queen Of Instagram' But Says 'It Ruins Our Moment'

Saif Ali Khan, unlike his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan's active Instagram presence, has chosen to keep a low profile on social media. The actor recently shared his thoughts on the platform, revealing his reasons for staying away from the constant pressure and public scrutiny often associated with it.

"My wife is the queen of social media," Saif acknowledged, praising Kareena's online presence during his recent interview. However, he confessed that he, along with their sons Taimur and Jeh, aren't fond of Kareena's habit of capturing every moment. "I see her following many interesting things about travel and cooking and all kinds of things. But for me personally, if I was to take pictures of a moment, it destroys the moment for me."

"I really like enjoying my life and sometimes you're having dinner or doing something with the kids and my wife says, 'can we take a picture?' The kids, me, all of us are like, 'no,' because you either shoot something or experience it. Any photographer will tell you (that) it's quite difficult to do both. So, for me, I think it (social media) is a great thing, and who knows I might join it, I don't have a stand against it at all. It's just for me, personally, it is too time consuming," he added.

Saif's aversion to social media stems from its time-consuming nature. He shared, "I find myself... I sometimes have surfed Instagram and I have spent half-an-hour reading the most inane things and my wife tells me I am not following the right things. I then delete the app because I feel I have wasted a lot of time compared to something I could be reading in a book or doing something more concrete with my time. It is never ending, it can really suck you in and I don't like that. It's really dangerous for someone like me and I don't want to engage in too much negativity, which can also happen, sometimes I just find it is not for me. But having said that I might do it tomorrow, I don't have a stand."

Despite the pressure to join social media, Saif enjoys being one of the few holdouts. "The more they tell me I'm the only person not on it, I say, 'oh! That's quite cool!'" He expressed concerns about the constant pursuit of likes and followers, stating, "I don't want to be in that world."
