The Westhuizen Duo will perform Saturday at First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown, as part of the church's 225th anniversary.
Pianists Pierre and Sophie van der Westhuizen now live in Kalamazoo, Michigan, but they studied at Dana School of Music and were members of First Presbyterian Church's choir when they were students.
Their performances have been heard on WCLV-FM in Cleveland, WFMT-FM in Chicago and ClassicFm and Radio Sonder Grense in South Africa (SA), WGTE (Toledo), WYSU, and WFMT (Chicago).
Pierre van der Wethuizen is executive and artistic director of the Gilmore International Piano Festival and previously served as president of the Cleveland International Piano Competition. Sophie van der Westhuizen is on the faculty of Kalamazoo College.
Saturday's program, "Fairytale in Four Hands," will include works by Dvorak, Grieg and Ravel by the Steinway Artists.
The concert starts at 4 p.m. at the church, 201 Wick Ave., and admission is free. Refreshments will be served after the performance.
