Young Thug's YSL Rico trial has been anything but normal -- not only due to his popularity as an artist but also the shenanigans that have occurred in the courtroom.

On Monday, it was announced that the Atlanta rapper's high-profile trial has been delayed indefinitely until it's decided if the judge in the case, Ural Glanville, acted improperly when he had a secret meeting with prosecutors and one of the state's star witnesses, according to the New York Times.

Judge Glanville made the announcement himself in a Georgia courtroom and said the case would not continue until another judge decides if he should be taken off the case entirely. More from the New York Times:

Judge Glanville had previously denied multiple motions from the defense that called for him to step aside, calling his actions regarding last month's meeting and its aftermath proper. But on Monday, during a hearing about releasing a transcript of the secret meeting, he agreed that an outside judge should decide how the trial would proceed.

The transcripts from the meeting will also be made public.

Just last month, Thug's attorney, Brian Steel, was sentenced to 10 weeks in jail after he refused to tell Glanville how he learned of the secret meeting, thus being held in contempt of court.

Steel claimed that he and his client received no notification that a meeting was occurring and it violated his constitutional rights to due process and a fair trial. He even filed a motion to have Glanville dismissed, claiming he was being biased towards the prosecution, according to the New York Times.

Meanwhile, jurors in the case have been forced to watch from the sidelines, since they have not heard any new testimonies in the case for nearly two weeks and are not expected to be back in court until next Monday, after Independence Day weekend.
