With several high-profile players set to hit the open market -- a list that includes Tina Charles, Alysha Clark, Brittney Griner, Kelsey Mitchell, Kelsey Plum and Breanna Stewart, among others -- the 2025 WNBA free-agent class is absolutely loaded.
And one of the top players available this summer is eating up being recruited by one of the league's up-and-coming teams with a franchise superstar already in place.
In a TikTok video posted on Thursday, Dallas Wings forward Satou Sabally confirmed that she will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and she made it sound like she will definitely be playing on a different team in 2025.
"So, it's a lot of movement for me this offseason -- the decision of moving with a potentially different shoe brand but also the decision to change teams," Sabally said. "Yeah, so I'll be a free agent this year, and I just feel like this is super exciting."
Sabally's comments sparked a lot of intrigue among Indiana Fever fans, who took to the comment section to begin recruiting her to join Caitlin Clark and company next season. The intriguing part is Sabally liked a few of the comments, implying that the Fever could be in the running to land her services.
Indiana could use a bit more size -- Sabally is 6-foot-4 and 175 pounds -- and one of the team's biggest needs heading into next season is adding a player strong on the perimeter who can knock down 3s -- Sabally shot 40.6% from 3-point range over the last two seasons.
Though she only played in 15 games this season due to a shoulder injury that sidelined her for the first half of the year, Sabally still made quite an impact.
The 26-year-old averaged 17.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game while playing 34.1 minutes per night. In 38 games the previous season, Sabally averaged 18.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game in a much more featured role.
