COLUMBIA, S.C. -- It goes without saying the LaNorris Sellers brand looks a lot different in December than it did in August.
The South Carolina quarterback helped lead his team to an incredible six-game winning streak to close out the regular season and a win on New Year's Eve over Illinois in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl would give Carolina its first season of 10 or more wins since 2013.
Sellers has received a host of post-season awards including being named SEC Freshman of the Year by the league coaches.
Earlier this week, Sellers was at the podium for his final pre-bowl interview in Columbia and the former South Florence Bruin said the awards are nice, but ultimately they shouldn't affect how he prepares for the next challenge.\
Helping him in that process in 2025 will be a new offensive coordinator in Mike Shula who has been on the USC staff since March. Shula was elevated from analyst to senior offensive assistant in the preseason and with that new title and new rules from the NCAA came one-on-one coaching during practices and games during the regular season.
With Shula working closely with Sellers, that relationship will take a different turn in 2025 with Shula calling plays but it also means the starting quarterback will not have to being developing a new working relationship and in fact, his comfort level with Shula is very high which played a big role in head coach Shane Beamer promoting Shula to OC.
