There's probably not many people more excited for President Donald Trump's inauguration next week than Kid Rock. The rocker, whose real name is Bob Ritchie, has been an outspoken supporter of the incoming president since day one, and has taken a lot of criticism from those in the media for not being afraid to speak his mind.
And he doesn't care.
Kid Rock has built up his long career and hardcore fan base by not giving a shit about what others think of him, which has allowed him to become a mainstay in the country rock scene for over two decades now.
And it seems the tides are turning these days. After President Trump's victory in the 2024 election, Kid Rock no doubt feels vindicated as much of what he's said in the past takes hold.
So what better time than now to celebrate with some of his fans?
The American Badass announced today that he's heading out on an arena tour this spring, featuring seven dates in March and April spread out largely across the midwest.
In a video posted to his social media, Kid Rock says that he wanted the opportunity to gather with other like-minded patriots as America enters into this new chapter:
"I think a celebration with the fans isn't only in order, it's overdue...
It's definitely time to celebrate with some other like-minded, commonsense, hardworking patriots who unapologetically love this country."
The tour kicks off on March 21st in Omaha, Nebraska and wraps up April 19th in Kansas City, and Kid Rock is bringing along some other patriots to celebrate with him.
Chris Janson will serve as the opener for the March shows, while Uncle Kracker will be joining Kid Rock on the road for the shows in April. And in an effort to ensure that tickets actually get into the hands of fans and not scalpers or bots, he's launched a pre-sale registration that will allow registered fans to buy tickets before they go on sale to the public.
Starting this morning, fans can go to kidrocktouring.com to register for a pre-sale code, which will allow you to buy tickets before the general onsale. You can register for pre-sale code now through Monday, January 20th (Inauguration Day) at 6pm eastern/5pm central, and tickets will go on sale to pre-sale code holders at 10am on Wednesday, January 22.
I have a feeling these shows will sell out during the pre-sale, but if not, tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, January 24 at 10am local time (except in Omaha and Minneapolis, where the sale will start at noon local time).
In expressing his excitement for the tour, Kid Rock says that fans deserve a celebration after taking a lot of shit over the last few years:
"I wanted to play a few shows to celebrate President Trump's victory and all things MAGA! Being a huge supporter since he came down that escalator, myself and fans have taken a lot of heat from the liberal media, etc.
I still feel now is no time to gloat as we need to try and unite this great country...But... I see no wrong in celebrating with a few like minded, hard working patriots who love a big rock n roll show and this country! The good lord knows, WE DESERVE IT!"
For more information, and to sign up for the pre-sale, head on over to kidrocktouring.com between now and Monday, January 20 at 6pm eastern. I have a feeling this is going to be a hell of a party.
