Magic Johnson Gives Blunt Review of Commanders-Bengals Game

Washington Commanders rookie quarterback finally had his coming out party in the NFL. On Monday night, Daniels torched the Cincinnati Bengals to lead Washington to a 38-33 win on the road. For the first time after a long while, it appears that there is legitimate belief in Washington's capability to win consistently.

Former Los Angeles Lakers superstar point guard and Commanders co-owner Magic Johnson couldn't hide his excitement over Washington's victory over Cincinnati. He was especially impressed with Washington repeatedly finishing drives with touchdowns, unlike in Week 2's win against the New York Giants.

"The difference tonight from last week is we got in the end zone and scored touchdowns," the Basketball Hall of Famer said following the Commanders' takedown of Joe Burrow and the Bengals.

Johnson also gave props to Commanders head coach Dan Quinn.

"I'm so happy that the big stage on Monday Night was not too much for the Commanders team," Johnson continued. "Coach Quinn and his staff had a good game plan for today's matchup and it showed!"

The Commanders had five touchdowns in a shootout with the Bengals. Daniels completed all but two of his 23 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns. Washington also rushed for three scores, including one from Daniels, who had not passed for a touchdown in the previous two games.

The Commanders are now 2-1 with a chance to extend their win streak to three games in Week 4 when they take on the Arizona Cardinals on the road.
