Newly appointed Roma boss Ivan Juric discussed the impact Daniele De Rossi's sacking had on the team.
After leading Roma to their first victory of the season, Juric spoke to the media and touched upon the team's morale following De Rossi's sudden departure.
"Pellegrini above all was left stunned by the news, this is my idea. He even came to tell me, which is sad, being only the first or second day. This shows that, humanly, this guy is okay, right?" Juric said of the Roma captain.
"Maybe something didn't work on a football level, but on a human level, he's impeccable. He has worked very well in recent days, for me he is a great player, even if he still has to grow in everything, in form and in other aspects, but I am convinced that he will be able to do very well."
"What's really important to me is that I found a very healthy group emotionally. Humanly, I liked them a lot, because they recognized the bond with Daniele without hiding anything from me, even though I am the new coach."
"This purity of soul is what struck me the most. Then they are really willing to work, to give everything for Roma, as it should be. Today I think they demonstrated it," he said after Roma beat Udinese 3-0.
