Prime Video's God of War series has a brand-new champion. Ronald D. Moore is taking the reins of Sony Pictures' TV series based on the 2018 reboot by Sony Santa Monica.

First reported by Deadline, Moore is set to serve as writer, executive producer, and showrunner of the series following the departure of Rafe Judkins and producers Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus. The trio finished multiple scripts in the first season, but it's unclear how much of those stories Moore will use in his own version of the show.

As IGN previously reported, Sony Santa Monica creative director Cory Barlog remains onboard as executive producer.
