Yoji Yamamoto's adidas Y-3 came out with one of its most unordinary shoes in recent memory to date last year; the brutalist, chunky-soled adidas Y-3 Kyasu. The sharply chiseled model has since been revisited as a slip-on and high-top, and now with cold weather starting to take over in some parts of the world, Y-3 is touching down with another new version called the Kyasu Overboot.

The overboot comes in two heights, with one sitting below the knee and the other stopping before the calf. Providing great versatility, the all-leather outer shells can be removed to reveal a mule underneath, which can of course be worn independently as a separate shoe. Differing from the aforementioned slip-on, the mule is comprised of a single piece of suede and TPU on the toe and heel. Other touches worth noting include laser-engraved stripes on the medial side of the boot, a Yoji Yamamoto signature on the lateral midsole area, and text reading "Hello" on the back of the mule.

If you count yourself among avant-garde fashion fans, you can find the Kyasu Overboot now at select boutiques. See official images of both height options below.
