Google will launch a new generation of Pixel hardware on August 13, about two months earlier than usual.
"You're invited to an in-person Made by Google event where we'll showcase the best of Google AI, Android software, and the Pixel portfolio of device," an email-based invitation to the event reads. (I did not receive an invite.)
The event is being held at Google's Mountain View, California headquarters and will include a keynote that will be broadcast live online at 10 am PT, followed by a hands-on product experience.
Google followed up the invites with a teaser trailer on YouTube that confirms the long-rumored Pixel 9 Pro will be among the devices revealed at the event. Google is also widely expected to announce the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel Fold 2, Pixel Watch 3, and Pixel Watch 3 XL (41mm and 45mm). Some reports suggest that a Pixel Buds Pro 2 may launch in August as well.
