Noteworthy: Mills, a 5-foot-9 guard, sank a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift the Vikings over Rancho Christian, 82-79, in a showdown of top Ivy League teams. The victory allowed Moreno Valley to take sole possession of first place in the league standings. Mills finished with a season-high 22 points. She knocked down 8 of 14 shots from the field, including 6 of 10 from 3-point range. The six 3-pointers also was a season high for Mills and one shy of her career best. Mills scored 15 points earlier in the week in another league win over Paloma Valley. Moreno Valley hosts Etiwanda in an intriguing nonleague game Saturday night.
