HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - Crews are investigating the cause of a structure fire that displaced 15 residents in Hartford on Monday morning.
Firefighters responded to 62 Adams Street, a multi-family home in the city's Upper Albany neighborhood, after receiving reports of a fire at 4:42a.m.
Upon arrival, crews found heavy flames on the first floor of the building and quickly began battling the flames.
The fire has since been brought under control.
One person was evaluated at the scene and transported to the hospital for further examination, but no firefighters were injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The building was occupied at the time, and the Special Services Unit is working with the American Red Cross to assist the displaced families.
