The brief was to complete a water audit of all sites within the group to identify any historical water billing overcharges and to ensure all water bills were correct going forwards.
Also to tender their water supply contract to the whole water market to secure a better deal on their existing water procurement contract.
Nicky Mann was appointed project lead for the water audit constants H2O Building Services, their billing data was audited for any historical overcharges and reports were sent to the CEO of Harbour Healthcare.
Substantial savings were identified and refunds due to incorrect charging going back 6 years, these savings and refunds were claimed back from the water retailers with a substantial refund delivered to the business and reduced charges going forwards.
The next phase in the water strategy was to go out to the water market and tender the water supply contract to the whole market, inviting all the water retailers to pitch for the water contract in a competitive environment.
