- During a recent interview with The K&C Masterpiece, AEW star Bobby Lashley discussed the way The Hurt Syndicate presents themselves, usually wearing nice suits and presenting themselves as top stars. Below are some highlights (via Fightful):
Bobby Lashley on The Hurt Syndicate's presentation: "It's very important how we present ourselves. If you come to a wrestling show, and say you are wanting to see the stars before the show starts, and you pull up and bring your kids. You're going to see different people walking into the building. You'll see guys in sweats and things like that, but you see me come out with a nice car, we always have suits on, you're going to look and say, 'If anybody, that's the star.' When we walk in and my match comes up, they're not only going to see me come out and say 'that's the star,' but they're going to remember from earlier when I did come in. 'That guy has to be somebody.'"
On the importance of their presentation: It's just the presentation. If you go to a NBA or NFL game, you always see the guys walking in and they're dressed to the nines. That's what we want to bring to professional wrestling. We don't want you guys coming in thinking we're the grungy group that just goes and jumps and hits people with chairs. We want to show different. We're putting on shows for people and we're selling out stadiums."
On what it means to be star athletes: "We're stars. We make good money and we train hard to do what we do. We are stars. You have to present yourself like that. That's how I always come to shows. You'll always see me dressed nice and presenting myself in a certain way. Coming to AEW, we want to make sure that whole mindset is brought to AEW."
