'90 Day Fiancé's David and Annie Open Up About Their Pregnancy (Exclusive)

At 56 years old, 90 Day Fiancé star David Toborowsky is expecting a child with his wife, Annie Toborowsky, 31. David already has three children from his prior marriage, the youngest being 25 years old. He's also got six grandchildren, which means his new child will be significantly younger than some of his grandkids.

"Well, it's going to be interesting because my oldest granddaughter will be 18 next month. She's finishing high school," David said regarding his wife's pregnancy. The couple sat down with Parade ahead of the newest season of Before the 90 Days to discuss their long journey to having a child.

Of course, the Toborowsky's relationship has been unconventional from the start. The fan favorites made their first appearance in Season 5 of the original 90 Day Fiancé franchise, before starring in a number of spinoffs. David and Annie met when she was just 24 years old and working at a bar in Thailand. They got engaged soon after meeting and later wed (following David's infamous purchase of two water buffalo for her family as a part of her dowry.)

Even with a baby on the way, however, their life is far from the standard American dream, but they like it that way.

"I don't fit into a cookie cutter saying, 'Okay, you have a white picket fence, three kids and dog.'" David said. "First of all, we're not going to have a pet because we travel too much. We can't even keep a house plant. The first thing will be getting [the baby's] passport."

Like their relationship itself, David and Annie's pregnancy defied the odds. The couple struggled to conceive, documenting their IVF journey for their collective 1.5 million followers. David previously had a vasectomy and later chose to reverse it in hopes of conceiving with Annie.

This pregnancy and relationship was much different than David's previous ones.

"When most people have sex [to get pregnant], it's exciting," David said about conceiving. "[IVF] wasn't the fun way, but exciting to get that phone call saying the HCG level has doubled. You look at everything scientifically and then realize there's a baby involved. There's something that we have created."

David will also be a much different father this time around. "It's exciting in a sense, because I've learned so much since I was a father at 21 the first time," he said. He's certainly got plenty of new life lessons under his belt.

Annie couldn't be more thrilled as well. "I still can't believe it. It's still like, 'Wow! A little mini gummy bear inside my belly,'" she gushed. "It's just so amazing."

David and Annie are still in the early stages of planning for their newborn and the birth itself. "We have a lot of decisions to make: where to have the baby, whether in America or Thailand, which we'll do by mid-October," David said.

As for whether diaper changes are in David's future, Annie feels confident he'll be helping out. "Since I got pregnant, he step up. He take very good care of me. I haven't been washing the dishes one time cause he always in the kitchen!" she said. "I can't do anything."

David got some practice from his three prior children and promises he's up to the task. "It's been 25 years since I've had a baby and I changed the diapers," he said. "I used to rotate one night, I would get up. One night, their mom would get up, and I'll do the same."

Perhaps one positive change in David's habits is his sleep cycle. "Good thing is, I don't sleep well at night anyway, so I can take the night shift. That's part of being 56!" he joked.

Parade got the chance to see the couple in action on a sunset cruise in New York City to celebrate the launch of the latest season of Before the 90 Days and we can confirm, the couple was positively smitten with one another. David hardly left Annie's side the entire night.

"There's nobody in this world that I would want to share it more with than Annie," David enthused. "And the baby will outlast my lifetime, obviously. And, you know, it's something that she can look at and say, 'This is something that we have.'"

Annie, meanwhile, has her focus on her pregnancy and the near future. "I am really looking forward to seeing my baby and being a good mom," she said. "I didn't say I would be a perfect mom, but I can say I will be a fun mom and [will] enjoy every moment with my child, with my husband."
