Number 24 (NR. 24) is a Norwegian film that follows a young apprentice from Rjukan named Gunnar Sønsteby (Sjur Vatne Brean). When the Nazis invade his country of Norway, he chooses to resist and ultimately goes on to become the leader of the Oslo Gang, an organization responsible for numerous daring acts against Nazi Germany, including sabotage and killings.

Known as one of Norway's greatest war heroes, Sønsteby's choices shifted the course of his life as well as the lives of those in his country. Based on a true story, Number 24 (NR. 24) chronicles the daring story of one man and those he inspired to lead a resistance against the Nazi occupation of Norway during WWII. Number 24 (NR. 24) is streaming on January 1.

'Cunk on Life' Stream on January 2 Close

Cunk on Life is a satirical documentary that follows Philomena Cunk, a character hilariously performed by English comedian Diane Morgan, as she asks some of life's most profound questions. During her journey, she'll delve deep in order to examine subjects from the Big Bang Theory to Artificial Intelligence, and she'll meet with numerous academics and creatives from all around the world in an effort to figure out what life is really all about. Full of humor, the documentary includes various misguided yet comical observations, which have become a trademark of Morgan's performance as Cunk. Cunk on Life is streaming on January 2.

'Umjolo: My Beginning, My End!' Stream on January 3 Close

Umjolo: My Beginning, My End! is a South African film that follows Mayi (Busisiwe Mtshali) as she begins to question the life choices she's made. Engaged to a very wealthy man who stands to inherit a fortune, Mayi's life is seemingly perfect. His family might encroach a little too much, and their money and status is often a tool they use to get what they want, but she's happy nonetheless, or so she thought.

Ad Vitam is a French-language thriller that follows a man named Franck Lazareff (Guillaume Canet), a former elite agent whose past comes back to haunt him and his pregnant wife, Leo (Stéphane Caillard). After a mysterious group of armed men break into his home and attempt to kill him, he narrowly escapes. However, the group manages to kidnap his wife, who Franck must find quickly before they kill her. As he races against time to save the woman he loves, he becomes caught in a deadly manhunt that somehow connects to his painful past. As the situation grows more dire, he's plunged into a larger state affair that, unfortunately, lies beyond his control. Ad Vitam is streaming on January 10.

'Back in Action' Stream on January 17 Close

Back in Action is an action comedy that follows Matt (Jamie Foxx) and Emily (Cameron Diaz), a married couple with two kids who vanished from the CIA 15 years prior in order to start their family. When their cover is blown one evening, the pair are forced back into the world of espionage, much to the shock of their children, who never thought of them as "cool parents." Rife with explosives, car chases, plenty of action, and lots of humor, the incredibly skilled former agents must navigate various threats now that they're "back in action." The film also includes performances by Kyle Chandler, Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, and Bashir Salahuddin. Back in Action is streaming on January 17.

'The Sand Castle' Stream on January 24 Close

The Sand Castle is an Arabic language film that follows a family of four who fight to survive while stranded on a deserted island. Seemingly idyllic at first, given its beautiful landscape, the true eeriness of the island begins to set in somewhat quickly. As the family remains trapped together, their past starts to unravel, which inevitably sends them all into a downward spiral of painful events. A fabled story about survival and trauma, the film offers viewers a dreamy narrative centered around one rather relatable family.
