San Diego police are investigating after a man was killed in the East Village Tuesday night.
Police said a man was attacked on the sidewalk on 14th Street near Imperial Avenue around 7:40 p.m. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.
"It appears the victim was shot and also possibly stabbed," police homicide Lt. Jud Campbell told Fox 5 San Diego. "The best information that we have right now is that there was a group of people here on the sidewalk (and) there was some sort of altercation that broke out."
One suspect shot the victim while another person stabbed him. The two assailants ran off in opposite directions, Campbell told Fox 5.
No information about the victim was released. No other details were immediately available.
