Apple has finally released the first beta of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 to public beta testers. The first beta comes a few days after the company releases the fourth developer beta, and if you want to check out the new Apple Intelligence features early, now might be the right time to do so.

If you are interested in installing the latest iOS 18.1 or iPadOS 18.1 public beta on the iPhone 15 Pro and later models, it can be down through the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. All you have to do is head over to the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad head over to General > Software Update > Beta Updates, and choose the latest public beta update for your device. Before you do so, make sure that your Apple ID is connected to your Developer Account.

Other than iOS 18.1, Apple has also released the first public beta of macOS Sequoia 15.1 with the same Apple Intelligence features. The update can be installed through System Settings on the Mac, but you have to connect your Apple ID to the Developer Account to receive the update over the air. Similar to the developer beta, the first iOS 18.1 public beta comes with a waitlist for Apple Intelligence features, which you can join to be part of the program. If you are not familiar, here's how to do it.

As mentioned, iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 include some of the Apple Intelligence features that you can test right now. You will be able to test the new Writing tools, Siri changes, summaries, and smart replies on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The update will be available to the general public sometime next month, but the company has not shared the exact release date. We suspect the iOS 18.1 and other updates will arrive in the second half of October, possibly after the company is done with its Mac event.

Note that these are mere speculations regarding the release date of the updates, as the final word rests with Apple. However, we will keep you updated on the latest, so be sire to stick around for more details.
