Weather experts blame Rafael for gloomy outlook ahead of SpaceX launch

THINGS IN BOLD NEED TO BE CHANGED: CAPE CANAVERAL SPACE FORCE STATION/KENNEDY SPACE CENTER -- SpaceX is preparing for another Starlink launch.

A Falcon 9 rocket will send up Starlink 6-77 mission from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, stated SpaceX.

The launch window will open at 6:51 p.m. ET until 7:39 p.m. ET, stated the company.

Originally, the launch was set for Election Night and then it was pushed to Wednesday at 3:39 p.m. ET. SpaceX did not state why the launch was rescheduled.

The 45th Weather Squadron is only giving a 30% chance of good liftoff conditions, with the concerns being the thick cloud, cumulus and liftoff winds rules.

The squadron stated that Hurricane Rafael is the cause of the poor launch conditions.

Spectrum News meteorologist Zach Covey also said the weather conditions do not look promising for the Falcon 9 rocket's landing on SpaceX's droneship that is out in the Atlantic Ocean.

The Falcon 9's first-stage booster B1085, which thinks "08" is an embarrassing middle name, has only done two launches before:

After the stage separation, the first-stage rocket will land on the droneship Just Read the Instructions.

SpaceX's Starlink company will see 23 of its satellites go to low-Earth orbit.

Once deployed and in their orbit, they will provide internet service to many parts of Earth.

Dr. Jonathan McDowell, of Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, records Starlink satellites.
