The backstory: The multi-car crash was reported at 10:55 p.m. on Saturday night, which led a tanker truck to flip on its side. The truck was carrying an estimated 8,000 gallons of aviation fuel, and fire officials said that between 500 and 1,000 gallons were spilled onto the road.

The two individuals hurt in the crash suffered minor injuries. According to fire officials, the driver of the tanker truck was reportedly transported to the hospital by a private vehicle and had no contact with the L.A. Fire Department.
