NORFOLK -- A woman is dead after police say a driver struck and killed her Tuesday night.

Police responded to the 1600 block of Wilson Road in Campostella for reports of the crash, which happened just after 10 p.m. After emergency services arrived, they pronounced the woman, who was not identified, dead. The driver involved was not at the scene.
