Ex-Diageo President Joins Ceasars Board of Directors

Following a two-year stint heading the British beer company, Rodney Williams is moving to Caesars Entertainment's leadership team.

On Monday, hospitality giant Caesars Entertainment announced the immediate appointment of Rodney Williams to its Board of Directors, which now comprises 11 members.

Williams stepped down as president of the Diageo Beer Company in May following a two-year tenure. In this role, he oversaw substantial growth for Guinness 0, the non-alcoholic Guinness beer that became the fastest-growing on-premise brand in the U.S. in 2023. Williams also helped forge national partnerships with brands like Bailey's Liquor and Tim Horton's coffeehouse and restaurant chain.

Before his time at Diageo, Williams spent 11 years at Moet Hennessy, the wine and spirits division of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, becoming the company's first American maison president. He's also held senior vice president roles with Jackson Family Wines and Robert Mondavi Winery.

"I'm pleased to have Rodney Williams join our Board of Directors," commented Caesars Entertainment CEO Tom Reeg. "Rodney brings a different perspective to hospitality, having experienced it from the upper echelon of luxury beverage brands. His experience in innovation, digital and experiential marketing, and implementing optimization makes him a good strategic fit for our Board of Directors.

"I look forward to working with him to continue to drive results for our guests, Team Members, and shareholders."

The Caesars Entertainment Board of Directors hopes to benefit from Williams' experience in luxury brand-building, strategic and digital marketing, and corporate leadership. The company operates several casino properties across the U.S., as well as online brands like Caesars Sportsbook.

"Rodney is an important addition to the Caesars Entertainment leadership team," added Gary Carano, executive chairman of the Caesars Entertainment Board. "Rodney's career leading some of the world's best-known beverage brands gives him unmatched perspective in the hospitality industry."

Caesars Entertainment has recently made major changes to its operations. In February, it acquired WynnBET's operations in Michigan.
