The Boston College football team takes its 4-2 record into Thursday night's matchup with Atlantic Coast Conference rival Virginia Tech (3-3). Both teams are 1-1 in the ACC and are coming off byes.
The Hokies lead the all-time series, 21-11, and have won two straight, beating the Eagles 27-10 at home in 2022 and winning 48-22 at Chestnut Hill last season.
The Eagles got off to a fast start under first-year coach Bill O'Brien, the former New England Patriots assistant, winning four of their first five games before stumbling last time out at Virginia on Oct. 5. BC led 14-0 in that game but wound up losing, 24-14.
Virginia Tech won its last game, 31-7 at Stanford on Oct. 5.
