It's spooky season -- and Night Court's Dan Fielding is certainly spooked by what he sees standing across from him in the courtroom.

Sitcom great Wendie Malick joins the cast of NBC's courtroom comedy in Season 3 after a pair of guest appearances as Dan's vengeful ex Julianne -- and now she's the court's new prosecutor, so she and Dan will be working together every day. TVLine has an exclusive sneak peek at the first Season 3 promo (which you can watch above), with Dan yelping and cowering in fear when he sees Julianne return. "You're out of prison!" he exclaims. "Does the warden know?"

Dan is a little wary of working with Julianne -- you know, since she tried to murder him and all -- but they still have a spark, too, and Julianne does everything she can to reignite it. "I'll go hard at you every night, till we are dripping with sweat... as lawyers," she vows to him. Whoa... well, there is a fine line between love and hate, after all.
