Fire Alarm Service Specialist (position in Schaumburg, IL 60173; multiple openings):

Engage in diagnosis, testing, inspection, preventative maintenance, repair, and debugging of fire alarm systems. Analyze fire alarm system repair requirements and develop appropriate solutions. Perform system checkouts of new and existing fire alarm system installations. Provide customized fire alarm system integrations, detailed system upgrade planning and execution, system audits, and customer consultation. Install, configure, and support network systems and equipment for fire alarm system installations.

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or foreign degree equivalent) and two years of experience as a Fire Alarm Specialist, Technician, or related occupation. Must have two years of experience engaging in: diagnosis, testing, inspection, preventative maintenance, repair, and debugging of fire alarm systems; and analysis of fire alarm system repair requirements and development of appropriate solutions. Domestic travel required 10% of working time.
