Rural Retreat's Conley Martin was masterful as the Indians earned their first boys basketball win of the season on Monday and also spoiled Rye Cove's season-opener.
Martin had 30 points, 11 rebounds, seven steals and two blocks to highlight a 69-60 victory over the visiting Eagles.
Trever Shelton added 13 points, four assists and four steals for Rural Retreat, (1-6) which pulled away in the fourth quarter.
"It was a big first win for us," said Rural Retreat coach Dewayne Morris. "It was a great team effort. We are starting to come together a little bit. Hopefully, this win will get us on the right track."
Rye Cove was led by the 22 points via Carter Roach-Hodge. Luke Jessee added 11 points in the loss.

Clay Ross drew up a masterpiece with 21 points as the Twin Springs Titans hammered Hurley for a non-district road win.
Jacoby Dunn added a dozen points for Twin Springs, which led 37-11 at halftime.
Landon Adkins had 17 of Hurley's 20 points.
David Crockett 78, Gate City 76
The David Crockett Pioneers edged Gate City despite a 21-point performance by Kaden Houseright of the Blue Devils.
GIRLS
Chilhowie 52, Castlewood 25
Chilhowie sophomore Kylee Dancy scored 17 points to lead a balanced attack as the Warriors whipped Castlewood for a non-district victory.
Raegan Jones added 10 points for the Warriors, who had nine different players reach the scoring column. Chilhowie led 13-3 after one quarter and 33-12 at halftime.
Anna Summers led Castlewood with 11 points and 15 rebounds. The Blue Devils were doomed by 30 turnovers.

Aubrey Meade fired in 17 points as the Twin Springs Titans trounced Hurley for a non-district victory.
Makenzie Gillenwater (14 points, seven rebounds, six steals), Emma Ross (13 points, five steals, three blocks) and Addy Bays (12 points) also starred in the victory.
Rural Retreat 39, Rye Cove 33
Kailey Davidson scored 15 points and Rural Retreat recorded a non-district victory over the visiting Rye Cove Eagles.
Talyn Moore added a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. The Indians held a 30-22 edge on the boards.
Richlands 31, Patrick Henry 27
Adyson Moore tossed in 15 points as Richlands recorded a non-district win over the visiting Patrick Henry Rebels.
Moore was 11-for-17 from the free throw line.
