With just over a week to go until the release of the new Marvel series, "Daredevil: Born Again", it's been revealed that The Swordsman is going to be returning to our screens, following the character's debut in the "Hawkeye" Disney+ series from a few years ago.
According to Variety, Tony Dalton will be reprising his role of Jack Duquesne, aka The Swordsman in two episodes of the new show.
He won't be the only character returning in the upcoming Disney+ series. The trailer has previously revealed that Karen, Foggy, and The Punisher are also returning to our screens. Plus, there will likely be other cameos to keep fans looking out for Easter eggs connected to other movies and shows.
Jack Duquesne was initially introduced as the boyfriend of Kate Bishop's mother, Eleanor Bishop, who Vera Farmiga played. In the "Hawkeye" series, Jack was framed for the murder of his uncle and stole a sword that belonged to Hawkeye. It was then revealed that Eleanor was working with Wilson Fisk, aka The Kingpin, so it makes sense for these characters to make an appearance.
We haven't seen the Swordsman since "Hawkeye", though we've seen Kingpin pop up in multiple episodes of "Echo". While the character is a traditional villain for Hawkeye in the comics, the Swordsman is a villain for hire and has had numerous run-ins with the Avengers for decades.
Tony Dalton has also previously starred in "Better Call Saul" and the upcoming movie, "Trap House".
You can find "Hawkeye", along with the previous seasons of "Daredevil" on Disney+ and the first two episodes of "Daredevil: Born Again" will arrive on Disney+ on March 4th 2025.
