2 former Limestone County Correctional Facility employees facing drug charges

Two former Limestone County Correctional Facility employees were arrested Monday on drug charges.

According to the Alabama Department of Corrections, Narcotic agents and K-9 units with the Law Enforcement Services Division of ADOC along with the Cullman County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant at the home of James and Sophia Chambers in Cullman County. Authorities say James Chambers is a former employee at Limestone County Correctional Facility.

Agents say that during the search they found 1.4 pounds of meth, 1.5 pounds of marijuana, five firearms, and 10 drones. Both suspects were taken to the Cullman County Jail and charged with trafficking meth and possession of marijuana. More charges are expected to be filed.

Authorities say the investigation also resulted in the arrest of former Limestone County Correctional officer Becca Marsh. Agents say they found 1.2 pounds of meth at her home. She was taken to the Limestone County Jail and charged with Use of Official Position for Personal Gain.

According to the Alabama Department of Corrections, the LESD is continuing to investigate and further charges are pending.

Mug shots were not yet made available for James and Sophia Chambers.
