Sioux City police arrest suspect in credit union robbery

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) -- Police have arrested a suspect in a Thursday robbery at a credit union in downtown Sioux City.

According to the Sioux City Police Department, Christopher Roberson, 51, of Sioux City, was arrested Friday. He has been charged with first-degree robbery.

Police said they were notified on Sept. 27 at 3:37 p.m. of a robbery at Sioux Valley Community Credit Union in the 1100 block of 6th Street. When officers arrived at the scene, employees said a male suspect had just robbed them.

The suspect allegedly walked in with his face covered and demanded money from one of the tellers. He then exited the bank and left the area with an "undisclosed amount of money," the release states.
