A man has died after a house fire in Brampton on Saturday morning, Peel police said.
Officers responded to the scene near Mississauga Road and Buick Boulevard around 7:30 a.m., police said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
Police said three adult men were rescued from the home. One was pronounced dead in hospital.
The other two men have non-life threatening injuries, they said.
Brampton Fire Chief Nick Ruller posted a photograph of the house on X, writing that it was a three-alarm fire.
"Defensive operations are now underway," he said.
Brampton fire crews and the Ontario Fire Marshall are investigating, police said.
