Cadillac's Massive 55-Inch Display Panel Has This Cool Feature

It's often the case that the ultimate appeal of a luxury vehicle is the culmination of many small features, all of which come together to form something greater than their sum. And while the feature we're shining a light on here is not necessarily something that every fan will notice, it's still an interesting detail worth pointing out. The feature in question - a small illuminated Cadillac badge on the back of the luxury marque's expansive 55-inch display.

This illuminated badge is present on multiple models, including the recently-announced Sollei concept, as well as the new 2025 Cadillac Escalade, the ultra-luxury Cadillac Celestiq sedan, and the all-electric Escalade IQ. We'd also bet that the upcoming Escalade IQL will also feature the same setup. Each of these models incorporates an expansive 55-inch display at the top of the dash, and each includes a small illuminated Cadillac crest that shines forward through the windshield, adding a very nice touch for a premium feel.

It's positioned centrally along the "spine" of the vehicle, echoing other badges seen in the exterior, including the front end.

Though a small detail, it provides an unexpectedly dramatic effect at night when it lights up in darkened surroundings. During the day time, the logo subtly blends in with the back of the display, and looks like a standard Caddy crest.

Of course, Cadillac's 55-inch screen is already pretty epic. Stretching from "pillar to pillar" across the dash, the screen performs three functions. First, it's the digital instrument panel (aka the gauge cluster). Second, it serves as the center infotainment screen, and third - it's a personal screen for the front-seat passenger. The 55-inch display is also complemented by a secondary screen below it called the Front Command Center (FCC), which handles common vehicle controls like HVAC settings and other comfort features.

While interesting, the illuminated Cadillac badge on the back of the luxury marque's new 55-inch screen is actually a continuation of a similar feature seen on other Cadillac models, such as the 38-inch panel with OLED screens equipped by the 2021 through 2024 Escalade, as well as the 33-inch panel with an LED screen seen on models like the Lyriq.
