One Video Shows How Texas Is Overflowing With Crickets

Some we know well, others not so well. We've got all that one special we love right? Perhaps a dog or even a cat?

But then there are creatures in the state that quite frankly, unnerve some individuals. Others simply just creep us out. Then...there's the ones that we see too much of!

One of those animals in the Lone Star State you ask? Well, none other than the cricket. Video taken in one part of Texas certainly shows how difficult it's gotten in the state.

To say the least, this would make any Texan shiver with fear if they ever saw it. (Note: The video make take a few seconds to load.)

So simply put, we've got one major question: How did they all end up there of all places?!? Many of us have seen a cricket now and again around the Lone Star State, but they seem to be just all in one big area.

Safe to say, a lot of Texans will be avoiding wherever that cluster of crickets is located. But how did so many crickets appear in the state this year? Well, it has to do with the seasons.

According to WFAA, field crickets produce eggs in fall. The amount can range from 150 to a staggering 400. These eggs make it through the winter just fine, and then a new cricket is born in spring.

But when rain finally falls and helps assist in a drought situation, the little insects seem to appear more often. So to say the least, hopefully soon we'll see less crickets!
