SHREVEPORT, La. - AT&T Field Operations delivered early Christmas presents to Shreveport senior citizens.
Fifty decommissioned iPads were given to the Martin Luther King Neighborhood Association to distribute. More iPads will be donated for high school seniors at a later date.
It's estimated that 16% of Louisiana households don't have access to the internet or connected devices needed to go online.
The iPad donation is part of the AT&T Connected Learning initiative. AT&T is committing $5 billion to help 25 million people get and stay connected to high-speed internet by 2030.
