NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Fourth of July is just days away and there are several ways in the Midstate to celebrate the 248th year, the United States signed the Declaration of Independence.

Nashville puts on the Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th spectacle with 40,000 pounds of explosives.

According to visitmusiccity.com, there are several areas for people to view including:

Video screens to watch the event will also be put at some of the parks to watch the show.

Some people performing at the event include Chris Young, Yola, Girl Named Tom, Blessing Offor, the Nashville Symphony and more.

If you're celebrating outside of Nashville, there are plenty of areas to watch fireworks and join in the festivities.

The city will celebrate on Wednesday, July 3 from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Liberty Park.

The celebration will include live entertainment, food, and beer vendors.

The city will hold its Celebration Under the Stars at The Fountains at Gateway. The event is from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday

There will be live music, food trucks, and splash pads. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.

Pets, alcoholic beverages, cooking grills, and personal fireworks including sparklers are not allowed on the celebration site, the city of Murfreesboro said.

Parking is free and first come at the Fountains as well as directly across Medical Center Boulevard in the grassy area.

The city of La Vergne will host an Independence Day celebration at Veterans Memorial Park at 115 Floyd Mayfield Drive.

The free event will include live music, food vendors and other activities.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and music starts at 6 p.m.

Families are allowed to bring blankets and lawn chairs as well as their own picnic dinners.

The fireworks show will begin at dark.

The city of La Vergne said fireworks are allowed to be shot off within city limits from July 2 through July 5 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. The times will be extended on July 4th to 11 p.m.

The city said no fireworks are allowed to be shot off on city property including all city parks unless they are part of the official show organized by the city.

The city of Goodlettsville will celebrate Independence Day on July 3rd at Moss-Wright Park.

The event begins at 4 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9 p.m. The celebration will include music and food.

The city is encouraging people to bring blankets and chairs.

People are not allowed to bring sparklers or fireworks, alcohol or glass containers. The city added that although pets are allowed, they are strongly discouraged.

Franklin on the Fourth will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will include food, crafts and music.

At 10:30 a.m. there will be a Patriotic Pet Parade and at 5 p.m. there will be a Children's Parade.

The city of Mt. Juliet will hold a July 4th Fireworks celebration from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 536 East Main Street.

The city of Lebanon will celebrate at the James E. Ward Ag Center at 945 E. Baddour Parkway and will include food, a flag display, live entertainment, classic cars, motorcycle exhibits, and fireworks.

The fireworks will begin at about 9 p.m.
