They may have walked into the Werk Room purse first, but now they're walking out of the castle purse first. Coming into the game, Bob the Drag Queen had a reputation among RuPaul's Drag Race fans as the beloved loud-mouth winner who has never shied away from speaking their mind. Just watch an episode of their podcast with Monet X Change. Savagery. They'll drag you. In a room full of reality personalities on The Traitors, Bob portrayed the Bob we know and love. But once the title of traitor was bestowed upon them, their game was amplified to a level that didn't have an off switch. They maintained their boisterous personality, but speaking out in every situation and planting seeds into the ground sealed Bob's fate in the game.
The moment they mentioned that one of the three new players must be a traitor, fellow traitor Boston Rob Mariano's ears perked up, and it was every Bob or Rob for themselves. As one of the greatest strategic masterminds in reality competition, Boston Rob ensured a bit more safety by turning the target toward Bob. He rallied the troops in a persuasive way that pinned Bob the Drag Queen against the wall.
Bob and Rob Were on Different Pages Close
Bob the Drag Queen already had a massive fan base as a premiere winner of RuPaul's Drag Race. During their time in the Werk Room, they were never shy about speaking their mind and putting people in their place. Just ask Derrick Barry. Bob's sly wit and comedic prowess make them a loveable human. Even when they were officially banished, the remaining players praised them for the person they were. They were able to separate the game from reality. But that's not how everyone played this game. Bob just messed with the wrong gamer.
The Roundtable was explosive because Bob let it be. As they stated in their postmortem, they planned to remain silent. Then, all hell broke loose when their name was evoked. Boston Rob saw the bus and let it run straight over Bob. Had Boston Rob not set up a coup against his fellow traitor, another target would have been banished. Because Boston Rob was playing a game of self-preservation, he needed to eliminate the individual he perceived was coming after him. It didn't have to be this way. Hence, the problem with Boston Rob's game. He was on Tony Vlachos' case for not speaking to him after he bestowed the shield on him. And here, he turned on Bob without seldom a word.
If Boston Rob and Bob had a conversation about Bob's poor comment to the group, they likely could have found a way to rectify it. Instead, Boston Rob took the strategy he's enacted multiple times on Survivor and on Deal or No Deal Island to keep himself self. He found a scapegoat, united a fearful following, and pounced. It's a move that will likely put a bigger target on him now. It was a short-term gain for long-term pain.

The excitement of having an all-reality star cast is the unification of varying genres coming together. Audiences get a thrill seeing the reality television crossover. In this game, there is a battle between competition show stars against docufellow personalities. And then you have Bob. Yes, Bob comes from a competition show, but it's not a show about strategy but art. Bob is a gamer playing as a rookie. Boston Rob is a gamer playing as a veteran. Bob the Drag Queen deserves immense praise for going toe-to-toe with him. Not many people would. They'd cower at the fear of being made a fool. To their credit, Bob didn't lie down easily, fighting tooth and nail, playing the role of a gamer until the very end. Bob got played, but he did it with dignity and pride.
Bob's fatal flaw was being Bob. It became a liability. Bob was too much for The Traitors. In this game, there is a time and place to be big. Often, the best strategy for The Traitors is to lie low. That doesn't mean floating to the end; it means striking when the iron is hot. Now, this will likely be Rob's fatal flaw, too, when he's sussed out or betrayed by his fellow traitors as he did to Bob. One traitor has been discovered. A second traitor will likely be outed by the other two remaining traitors. Danielle Reyes and Carolyn Wiger were none too pleased with Boston Rob's rogue move, but for their game of self-preservation, they knew they had to follow along...for now. Bob the Drag Queen brought excitement to the game that will sorely be missed, but the strategy they tried to utilize was not going to work with the strategic legends they were up against.
